Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation
consists of Physical and Occupational Therapy with a focus on restoring
function. Physical and Occupational Therapists care for patients with
acute and chronic pain, and musculoskeletal problems.
Commons conditions evaluated,
assessed, and treated in rehabilitation include back, neck, and hand
pain, tendonitis, and pinched nerves. Therapists also treat people with
orthopedic injuries/illnesses ( fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome,
golfers and tennis elbow, ACL and rotator cuff repairs, strains,
sprains, spasms, sciatica, radiculopathy etc.), neurological conditions
(e.g. M.S. Stroke, ALS, head injury) burns, degenerative joint disease
and others (e.g. lymphedema).
The goal in
rehabilitation
is to return the individual back to their pre-injury / illness function
and/or to achieve independence in activities of daily living.
Assisting the individual to achieve their maximum medical improvement is
our objective.
